Bailey 'Duffy' Black Polished Calf & Suede Spat Boot

The DUFFY is a men’s spat-style ankle boot from the Jeffery-West Italian mainline, handmade in the Marche region of Italy on our Bailey last.

The lower boot is cut from high-shine black polished calf leather, contrasted with a soft black suede spat-style upper. Four onyx stone coach-stud buttons run down the front, giving the boot its distinctive Victorian-inspired character, while subtle punched detailing through the polished calf adds another layer of texture.

An inside zip makes the boot easy to get on and off without disturbing the buttoned front, finished with a signature devil-head zip pull and red leather lining.

The DUFFY uses Blake-stitched construction, where the upper, insole and outsole are stitched directly together from inside the shoe. This creates a closer, more flexible construction than a heavier welted shoe, helping retain the sleek profile of the Bailey last while still providing a traditionally crafted leather sole.

Underfoot, the signature red leather sole is finished with embossed Jeffery-West artwork and lettering — a detail largely hidden in wear, but unmistakably ours.

HOW TO WEAR IT
Pair the DUFFY with slim black tailoring, cropped trousers, dark denim or a sharp evening suit. The contrast between polished calf and suede gives it enough texture to work with an otherwise monochrome outfit, while the spat detailing makes it particularly strong with velvet, jacquard, wool or sharply cut formalwear.
